Behind the Design - The Bandito

The Bandito style was born out of necessity and has easily become one of our favorite scarves to wear in the summer. At Fringe Scarves, we never pack up our wild rag collection because of rising temperatures. Silk scarves can be worn in the heat because it is a breathable fabric (see our five favorite ways to wear scarves in the summer). WITH THAT SAID, it’s hard not to love a cotton bandanna in the summer. The problem? Traditional bandannas are typically a rough, low quality material that take forever to “break in” and feel comfortable. We wanted a scarf that was soft like our silk wild rags and sheer like most of the clothing we wear in the summer. Then, The Bandito was born.

The Fabric

The Bandito is cotton silk blend (we do offer a Long Tall 100% silk in three colors for our traditional wild rag lovers). It was important to bring out the best of both fabrics - the soft feel of silk and the durability of cotton. The result is a scarf that is sheer, breathable, and will hold up for many summers to come.

The Design

We wanted a design that represented our western culture but could be incorporated into any outfit. In the center of the scarf is a large bucking horse. In opposite corners are bucking horses and cactus. You can have two different looks with these opposing details depending on how you tie your scarf.

The Final Scarf

The Bandito is offered in six color ways - Black, Brown, Navy, Olive, Red and Coral. The Bandito is created to be a foundational piece that can be incorporated into any outfit. Fringe Fans can chose their favorite Banditos or grab all six for additional 25% savings.
