Jodi’s passion for high fashion, the ranching lifestyle, and entrepreneurial business has defined her path from the start. Her roots run deep on her family’s cow-calf ranch in western South Dakota. When Jodi wasn’t horseback herding cows or helping her father calving, she spent her free time clipping editorial photos out of fashion style magazines to craft a look all her own. At just five years old, she taped price tags onto her mother Connie’s fabric rolls and opened a basement retail store shop—her very first retail venture.

Long hours horseback gave Jodi the quiet space to dream, while competing at the highest levels of rodeo, qualifying for the national finals in high school, college, and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) events, forged her relentless drive. Traveling alongside her auctioneer father, Lynn Weishaar, to top livestock and performance horse auctions across the nation taught her the value of community, trust, and maintaining a solid reputation.

Bringing those Western heritage values to Texas after college, Jodi expanded her career as assistant marketing director for EquiBrand, sales manager for an e-commerce company, and eventually Marketing Manager and Publisher for Western Horseman. As Publisher of Western Lifestyle Retailer, a business-to-business magazine for retail stores, she honed an innate talent for predicting Western runway trends and driving contemporary fashion. In 2008, she launched Fringe, the pioneer online magazine dedicated to real cowgirl style and Western culture.

Jodi Hendrickson has been honored as guest speaker at many major fashion events.

After stepping away to fight an eight-year battle with Lyme disease, Jodi returned with renewed energy and a bold vision. Recognizing wild rags and silk neckwear as underutilized wardrobe staples, she launched Fringe Scarves to transform everyday outfits into statement style. Drawing inspiration from ranch life, rodeo tradition, and modern runway aesthetics, she designs every pattern and directs every photo shoot.

By leveraging digital commerce and social media, Jodi has built a global brand around her signature motto: “Stick Your Neck Out and Tie One On.”
