How to Wear - The Derby

How to Wear - The Derby

The wild rag is the swiss army knife of fashion! If you thought the only way to wear your favorite silk scarf was bundled up in the cold, think again! The natural breathability of silk makes it possible to wear your scarf past to coldest months and well into spring. In this How to wear series, we’re taking a few of our favorite wild rag designs and showing you how to wear them when you are dressed to the nines or laid back and casual.

About the Scarf

The Derby comes in our Long-Tall size and is 100% Twill Silk. Unlike most of our scarves, we took this high-end classic and made it in 14mm twill rather than 12 mm. The heavier 14mm twill used for this scarf, has a full-bodied feel and is similar to an Hermes, giving your ties more shape and body.

  • SIZE: 35" x 35" (The Long-Tall)
  • FABRIC: 100% Twill Silk
  • COLOR: Black, grey, and earthy tones with gold and saddle-colored highlights

Dress It Up

Is upscale equestrian your style? Then you need the Derby! Dress to impress at your next function and tie the derby in a half bow for some added interest to your neckline.

Dress It Down

Do you want to dress a little more laid back but still look chic? The Derby is the extra touch that can pull it off. Pair it with a comfy sweater and some tall leather boots for your own take on relaxed equestrian.

Just wanted to let you know it was cold enough today in West TX for me to wear a wild rag. I recently got the Let’r Buck in black. I wore it in the square knot fashion and it turned out great. When I was taken the scarf out of the package, my wife didn’t look to happy with the design. After Church my wife said I really like the way this wild rag looked on you.
