Fringe Blue Label

In the Western world, the wild rag has always served a purpose. It’s practical, familiar, and deeply rooted in tradition. But for decades, its role rarely extended beyond function. Designs repeated. Materials stayed the same. The scarf became something worn, but not often considered.
Fringe Scarves became the trendsetter with their launch in a small bedroom in Brock, TX almost eight years ago. The first to work outside the polka dot and paisley box, Fringe designed within the square to change how western wild rags and the industry as a whole would move forward. Creating a trend a rebirth of the wild rag from that point on.
In true Fringe fashion, another wall of the box was pulled down with their new high end Western luxury line, Fringe Blue Label™. It began with a different question: What would it look like to treat a Western scarf with the same level of artistry and refinement as the most luxurious accessories in fashion- without losing its Western soul?
Since launching Fringe Scarves in 2018, founder Jodi Hendrickson has built a reputation as a maverick in the wild rag industry. Her early ideas challenged expectations - designing patterns to the corners so art revealed itself with every tie, expanding sizing to give more freedom in how you styled silk, and introducing Twillys to the western space almost five years ago. Each move honored tradition while pushing this sector of the Western industry forward in a big way.
Fringe Blue Label is the most intentional expression of that mindset.
Rather than creating another scarf, Jodi set out to create a luxury scarf experience—one that respects the West while elevating it through material, craftsmanship, and art. Developed over more than two years, Blue Label wasn’t rushed. It was refined.

The first difference is felt before it’s ever seen. Crafted from a Jacquard silk, Blue Label carries a weight and presence unlike typical wild rags. Jacquard weaving allows intricate patterns to be woven directly into the fabric (in this case, a gorgeous paisley design), creating depth and texture rather than surface decoration. The scarves are printed on both sides, ensuring the design remains beautiful in motion - an uncommon and technically demanding process. Finished with hand-rolled, hand-sewn hems, the details signal quality quietly, without excess. And in true Fringe fashion, they offer this new line in a whole new sizing option, the BIG44™ of 44”, along with their standard Long Tall™ size of 35”

But material alone doesn’t define luxury - art does.
What truly sets Blue Label apart is how it tells the story of the West. Instead of relying on obvious imagery, the collection focuses on the craftsmanship behind Western life. Bits become rhythm and repetition. Bridles turn into flowing lines. Saddles, chaps, and leatherwork are reduced to their most elegant forms. The iconic cowboy hat is honored for its shape, balance, and history. These aren’t symbols chosen for nostalgia - they’re tools chosen for respect.
Each design begins as original artwork, created exclusively for Blue Label by Western artist Clara Smith from Oregon, and then thoughtfully composed into final scarf layouts by Jodi’s husband, Rob Hendrickson so the art reveals itself differently with every fold and tie. This approach transforms functional objects into pattern, elevating them without stripping away their meaning.
Why does that matter?
Because the West has always been built on craftsmanship. On things made to last. On beauty that comes from use, not ornament. Fringe Blue Label™ reflects that philosophy. It doesn’t try to reinvent the wild rag by abandoning its roots - it elevates it by honoring them.

In a market filled with repetition, Blue Label stands apart as something considered. It’s not trend-driven. It’s not loud. It’s intentional. Designed for those who understand quality, who value artistry, and who recognize that luxury doesn’t have to feel foreign to be refined.
These scarves are meant to be worn, styled, and lived in - pieces that grow more meaningful over time. They’re as appropriate for a Stock Show evening as they are for a night out, carrying the same quiet confidence wherever they go.
Blue Label isn’t just different from other wild rags. It represents a shift in how the Western scarf is perceived: not as an accessory that follows, but as one that leads. And in the West, leadership has always been the truest form of luxury.
